Despite the difficulties of the emergency phase – explains Paola Nicastro, general manager of Anpal, the national agency for active policies – the structure has developed various tools to help absorb the employment shock that will come from the pandemic.

An instrument, certainly to be strengthened, open to citizens, companies and intermediaries in connection with regional systems and employment centers. The numbers are still small but still growing. From June of last year to date, the registered companies have increased from 50,000 to 80,000, the advertisements from 2,500 to 40,000. In a difficult moment, like that of the pandemic, 15,000 employment contracts have been signed thanks to the system. There is still a long way to go. But something is moving.
For the future Anpal is working on the electronic file of the worker, a document that will contain all the information on the education, training and work paths of the individual citizen. For this reason it should soon close an agreement with the Ministry of Education to have access to school data. The goal – explains the director of Anpal Nicastro – to make the file operational within the year.
