America’s Cup, Luna Rossa-Ineos on 5-0 in the Prada Cup final –

Where were we? On 4-0 for Luna Rossa against the English of Ineos, before the Prada Cup final (the selection of the challengers to the America’s Cup: from March 6 against the New Zealand team holders) was interrupted by the lockdown in Auckland due to coronavirus and the arm wrestling full of tension between the Italian team and the New Zealand organizers, who would have liked to postpone the races to next weekend, waiting for the flood wave of the pandemic to pass.
But Luna Rossa won the dispute and obtained the right to return to the water, the natural habitat in which – up to now – it had proved stronger. On the night scheduled two more tests, regattas 5 and 6 against Sir Ben Ainslie and his award-winning crew. And Luna Rossa wins the first regatta. Now there is expectation for the second race of the day which will start at 5.15am. Britannia crosses the finish line 1’20 ”late. A regatta without discussion. With little wind Luna Rossa is stronger.

Whoever wins 7 points first between Luna Rossa and Ineos, goes to the America’s Cup. Regattas 7 and 8 are scheduled for Sunday morning (Italian time) from 4.
