First foreign policy step for Giuseppe Conte as a new leader of the Five Star Movement. The former premier, together with the founder and guarantor of the M5S Beppe Grillo, are expected this afternoon at the Chinese embassy in Rome for a meeting with Ambassador Li Junhua. The Movement has for some time cultivated relations with China, with past visits and meetings of the Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio.
Having resolved the issue with the Rousseau platform, with a divorce that has left many aftermaths in the ranks of the Movement, the new political leader is finalizing the new statute and the new pentastellate secretariat and should also meet the premier in the coming days. Mario Draghi.
