The millionaire businessman Edward Lewis, passing through Los Angeles on a business trip, while he is along Hollywood Boulevard casually meets the prostitute Vivian Ward: thus begins “Pretty Woman”, a 1990 film directed by Garry Marshall. The film, which launched the career of Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, has become a cult over the years (famous is the scene in which Vivian, recruited by Edward as a companion for a week, goes shopping on the notes of “Oh, Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison). Costing $ 14 million, it grossed over $ 463 million worldwide. But this is not the only curiosity about “Pretty Woman”, which for some time can be seen in streaming on Disney +.
