French diver Alexis Jandard slipped on the diving board during the inauguration ceremony of the Olympic swimming pool at the Aquatics Center in Saint-Denis.
Jandard, who represented France at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, fell on his back and hit the board before falling into the water.
In a post responding to the video of his fall published on X, Jandard joked about the embarrassing moment: “Thanks for the support! FYI, my back is fine, but my ego…”
