An extraordinary Federica Brignone also won the giant slalom in Aare, Sweden, valid for the Alpine Skiing World Cup. With an incredible comeback in the second heat, the Italian champion finished with the best total time of 2’11″02, achieving her 26th career victory in the World Cup. Second place for the Swede Sara Hector, leader of the first heat with over 1″ on Brignone, who finished 0.33 hundredths behind, third place for the Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami at +0.40. Fourth place instead for the other Italian Marta Bassino, however 1.47 away from Brignone
